The new DB007W disc is intended to improve the braking problems that most electric bikes with stock brakes have, as well as to provide better cooling to the system. The increased outer disc size and mass absorbs the increased weight of the E-Bikes (between 10 and 15 kg extra), as well as the increased speed and inertia that comes with an electric drive motor. The new oversize discs, together with GALFER BIKE's semi-metallic pads, increase braking efficiency in the new technological challenge of electric bikes.
For downhill bikes, the new DB007W disc is mainly designed for bikes with larger wheel sizes (29"), which reach higher speeds, as well as for courses with a lot of gradient or extremely high temperatures. The disc can also be installed on 27.5“ or 26” bikes.
